EMIS have been working in Libya for several years mainly on a job by job basis, mobilising engineers when a collection of jobs were required making a trip economic. Several large jobs have been completed as EMIS have become established, in country, as a good source for calibration and repair of test equipment used in the oil, steel, aircraft, chemical and electronics industries. Some of our clients include:

  • Electronic General Company
  • Libyan Arab Airlines
  • Libyan Steel Company
  • Arab Cement

In addition LAA, sent their test equipment and NDT standards to EMIS to calibrate in the UK and with them came four technical personnel for training. Two of the personnel were electronic engineers and the others were NDT specialists and they spent two weeks in the UK.

The aim of the JOTA is the provision of consultancy and services in the petrochemical, power and industrial sectors of the country in all aspects of instrumentation and calibration.

The ultimate goal is to establish accredited calibration facilities and a service centre aligned with several key manufacturers. EMIS are also involved with Jowfe in organising training for ISO 9001:2000, Calibration and Electronic Servicing.
