A repair facility is operated in support of the calibration services, and a development of this has manifested itself in the form of Equipment Management. Many customers have found that dealing direct with the equipment manufacturers can be a time consuming and frustrating task, particularly when the manufacturer is based overseas. Equipment management services provides our customers with one (1) point of contact for the calibration, repair and servicing of all their instrumentation.

Further support is available in the form of Inventory or Asset Management, where EMIS can take over the on-going management of the client's calibration assets. This can provide the following benefits:

  • Save time by having a single point of contact rather than dealing with multiple vendors
  • Release key staff from routine tasks involved in maintaining an internal equipment inventory
  • Automate the recall and calibration process
  • Provide access to the expertise of the calibration laboratory staff

This option has benefits for both parties. Each can plan their respective workloads around predicted future demand, and the closer working environment allows a partnership to be formed. In cases where unexpected demand arises, such as revisions to a production schedule, this is more easily incorporated where communications are already in place between each organisation
