| Accredited
certificates issued by EMIS provide the highest form of traceable
calibration certificate available
in the UK. Accredited certificates can only be issued by
UKAS laboratories. UKAS regularly audit accredited laboratories
to ensure that facilities, test equipment, and engineers
continue to meet required standards
Where applicable, services are also available on site,
which is particularly beneficial where equipment is particularly
sensitive,
fixed in position, or a quick turnaround is required.

Class Leading Facility
Shown below is the controlled laboratory area where the
majority of the pressure and electrical work is carried out. The temperature
calibration area is located in an adjacent room, allowing fume extraction
and separate control of the environment.

The facility is located in the CEB, Greenwell Road,
East Tullos, Aberdeen.
The initial capability has been expanded with the incorporation
of a dimensional option, supporting the calibration of all basic length
measuring devices such as micrometers, dial gauges, length bars and verniers.
The pressure area has benefited from our expansion, and now operates
with a DH-Budenberg 5502 twin post pressure balance. This equipment has
completed its assessment period, and now forms part of our UKAS inventory,
further improving our accredited parameters.
